Nearby is the village of Maganos where you will find a mini market famed for stocking the area’s finest fruit and veg and has two traditional greek tavernas which offer a variety of inexpensive traditional greek cuisine. The picturesque Venetian harbour of Fiscardo is only 10 kms drive, here you will find countless shops, bars, cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink or meal whilst watching the bustling activity around the yachts moored in the harbour. It is a short drive to two of the finest swimming beaches in Kefalonia, Alatias and St Jerusalem, both beaches have small tavernas where you can enjoy traditional greek cuisine for lunch or in the evening.
Designed by Christo Koutsandreou in traditional Kefalonian style, with wooden shutters on all the doors and windows, high wooden vaulted ceilings and a typical Kefalonian balcony with amazing sea views. Beautifully furnished by the owner, a South African interior designer who has imported the kitchen from Italy, crockery and art from her native South Africa and added some traditional Kefalonian furnishings. The Hilltop villa is air conditioned throughout and the living area is open plan, with a modern fully equipped kitchen diner leading into the lounge with satellite TV, DVD and CD players. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a twin and master double, both have en suite bathrooms and access out onto a shared private balcony which overlooks the swimming pool and has panoramic sea views. The lounge and dining room both open out onto the swimming pool patio furnished with sun loungers, umbrellas, gas barbecue and a set of table and chairs for al fresco dining.
