Sarlata is an unspoilt rural village in the Livatho region, set on a hillside with wonderful views across the countryside to the Ionian Sea. The village has a local shop, a church and a few tavernas nearby and it is only a ten minute drive from the villa to the unspoilt sandy beaches at Avithos and Lassi. Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia is only 8kms drive away, here you will find an attractive main square, a pretty harbour promenade lined with palm trees, lots of cafes and restaurants, large supermarkets, plenty of shops and the best place on the island for fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat for your barbecue. Sarlata is a good base from which to explore the rest of the Island as most places of interest are less than an hour’s drive away.
Villa Alexandra has its own private entrance with parking area and is set in mature landscaped gardens, with a lawn around the swimming pool that is fully enclosed by either walls or hedges for added privacy. Built in a traditional Kefalonian style with a stone tiled roof, large bedroom balconies, outdoor covered patio for al fresco dining and shutters on all the windows and doors. The ground floor is the main indoor living area and is completely open plan. The lounge is furnished with two modern double sofas, an LCD TV with local satellite channels, DVD player and has access out onto a covered patio that wraps itself around both the front and pool side of the villa. Leading off the lounge is the dining area which opens onto a modern fully equipped kitchen with double doors that lead onto the pool area where there is a covered al fresco dining area complete with built in barbecue. Next to the kitchen is a family shower room with wc. A marble staircase leads up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, a twin and double bedroom share a family shower room with wc. Both bedrooms have double doors that lead out onto large balconies with stunning views over the countryside to the Ionian Sea and beyond to Zante. The third bedroom, a twin with en suite shower room is on the lower ground floor and has steps that lead up onto the pool area by the kitchen. Outside a magnificent 45 square metre swimming pool and its large Jacuzzi dominates the garden, which is mainly laid to lawn, ideal for sunbathing and enjoying the panoramic views.
Changeover day is any day and durations are flexible with a minimum stay of 7 days.
