Sarlata is an unspoilt rural village in the Livatho region, set on a hillside with wonderful views across the countryside to the Ionian Sea. The village has a local shop, a church, a few tavernas nearby and it is only a ten minute drive from Villa Elina to the unspoilt sandy beaches at Avithos and Lassi. Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia is only 8kms drive away, here you will find an attractive main square, a pretty harbour promenade lined with palm trees, lots of cafes and restaurants, large supermarkets, plenty of shops and the best place on the island for fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat for your barbecue. Sarlata is a good base from which to explore the rest of the Island as most places of interest are less than an hour’s drive away.
Villa Elina is built and designed in a traditional Kefalonian style with a stone tiled roof, large bedroom balconies, outdoor covered patio for al fresco dining and shutters on all the windows and doors. The open plan ground floor is the main indoor living area with modern and elegant decor. The lounge is furnished with two modern double sofas, an LCD TV with local satellite channels, DVD player and has access out onto a covered patio that wraps itself around both the front and pool side of the villa. Leading off the lounge is the dining area which opens onto a modern fully equipped kitchen with double doors that lead onto the pool area where there is a covered al fresco dining area complete with built in barbecue. Next to the kitchen is a family shower room with wc and a set of stairs leading down to the lower ground floor to a twin bedroom with en suite shower room with wc and steps leading up to the pool area by the kitchen. From the dining room a marble staircase leads up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, a twin and double sharing a family shower room with wc. Both bedrooms have double doors that lead out onto large balconies with stunning views over the countryside to the Ionian Sea and beyond to Zante. Outside a magnificent 45 square metre swimming pool and its large Jacuzzi are set in a lawned garden enclosed by stone walls or hedges for complete privacy.
